**Timeline of Senior Project due dates for the whole year (either make one by hand or you can use a Gantt timeline (directions: Excel 2003 tutorial taken from YouTube, or Excel 2007 tutorial taken from YouTube).  A Gantt chart is a type of bar chart that illustrates a project schedule. Gantt charts illustrate the start and finish dates of a project.  Show this timeline to your faculty advisor at every monthly meeting so you can track your progress at finishing the assorted components of the senior project across the length and breadth of the school year.d  Completely finish filling this spreadsheet out with your estimated start dates and duration (how long, in days, the activity will take you).  Here is a sample Gantt timeline that is completely filled out - don't use these dates and times because they are not your estimations of how long things will take.  (email a copy to your faculty advisor, email a copy to the Senior Project Coordinator).  As you finish each activity, initial and date it on the timeline.

Tips for Gant Timeline:  1. Use font pica size 6 for your X and Y axes so that you can read all your activities.  2. Drag the Gantt timeline to the size of the monitor screen when you print so that everything ends up on it.  Otherwise, some activities will not appear on the activities axis.  3.  Do not hesitate to change your timeline if you learn that you have not estimated correctly.  The timeline is for you to use as a helpmate when tracking many things at once.
