ArtLex: "You will find definitions of more than 2,800 terms here, along with numerous illustrations, pronunciation notes, great quotations, and links to other resources on the Web." The author got his ` from the University of Chicago and teaches art to elementary school students.

ArtSource: "Welcome to ArtSource, a gathering point for networked resources on Art and Architecture. The content is diverse and includes pointers to resources around the net as well as original materials submitted by librarians, artists, and art historians, etc. This site is intended to be selective, rather than comprehensive." Included is a guide to electronic exhibitions.

Digital Archive of American Architecture: At this site, you are able to view images of American architecture from the 17th century through the 20th century. This is an excellent site to see images of American architecture.

Internet ArtResources: Internet ArtResources provides access to galleries and museums online. In addition, this site contains feature articles and reviews of art and is searchable. This first class site is designed for everyone interested in art.

1997 Survey of Public Participation in the Arts: Summary Report: This report describes the results of the 1997 Survey of Public Participation in the Arts (SPPA). This survey data is primarily national but does include data of selected states and metro areas. In addition to attendance at arts activities and participation through broadcast and recorded media, the report covers geographic and demographic differences in participation, arts socialization, music preferences and other leisure activities as well as background information on the history of the SPPA and changes introduced in 1997. ArtsEdNet: "ArtsEdNet, an online service developed by the J. Paul Getty Trust, supports the needs of the K-12 arts education community. It focuses on helping arts educators, general classroom teachers using the arts in their curriculum, museum educators, and university faculty involved in art education." This is an excellent site.
